Dr. Jamario Skeete, a cardiac electrophysiologist with Northwest Medical Group, will lead the discussion to explore how AFib symptoms can increase a person’s risk for significant complications like stroke and heart failure. Northwest Health is hosting the seminar in conjunction with American Heart Month in February to help residents identify warning signs that may require medical attention.
The presentation will cover how AFib is clinically diagnosed, what causes the disorder, and who is most at risk. Dr. Skeete will discuss the latest innovative treatment options. Question and answer session will follow.
The event is free, but registration is encouraged online at www.nwhinfo.com/AFib or by calling 219-262-6446.
The seminar will be held in the Pine Lake Conference Room on the first floor of Northwest Health LaPorte.
